Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the physical work environment and work discipline on employee performance at PT Satria Raksa Buminusantara in South Jakarta. The method used was quantitative. The sampling technique used saturated sampling where all members of the population were used as samples, thus the sample in this study amounted to 61 respondents. Data analysis used validity tests, reliability tests, classical assumption tests, regression analysis, correlation coefficients, determination coefficients and hypothesis tests. The population in this study were employees of PT Satria Raksa Buminusantara in South Jakarta and the number of saturated samples was 61 respondents. Data collection methods were through questionnaires with a Likert scale, observation, and literature studies. The results of this study were that the physical work environment had a significant effect on employee performance with a determination coefficient value of 43.1% and the hypothesis test obtained t count> t table or (6.685> 2.001). Work discipline had a significant effect on employee performance with a determination coefficient value of 36.6% and the hypothesis test obtained t count> t table or (5.839> 2.001). The physical work environment and work discipline simultaneously have a significant effect on employee performance with the regression equation Y = 8.723 + 0.403X1 + 0.400X2, with a coefficient of determination of 56.4%, while the remaining 43.6% is influenced by other factors. The hypothesis test obtained a calculated F value > F table or (37.461 > 2.760).
