Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the influence of the physical work environment and career development on the performance of employees of PT. Eka Bogainti (Hoka-Hoka Bento) in the South Tangerang Store Area. The method used was quantitative. The sampling technique used saturated sampling where all members of the population were used as samples, thus the sample in this study amounted to 92 respondents. Data analysis used validity tests, reliability tests, classical assumption tests, regression analysis, correlation coefficients, determination coefficients and hypothesis tests. The population in this study were employees of PT. Eka Bogainti (Hoka-Hoka Bento) in the South Tangerang Store Area and the number of saturated samples amounted to 92 respondents. Data collection methods used questionnaires with a Likert scale, observation, and literature studies. The results of this study indicate that the physical work environment has a significant positive effect on employee performance with a coefficient of determination of 66.4%, and the hypothesis test obtained t count > t table or (13.327 > 1.987). Career development has a significant positive effect on employee performance with a coefficient of determination of 75.2%, and the hypothesis test obtained t count > t table or (16.511 > 1.987). The physical work environment and career development simultaneously have a significant positive effect on employee performance with a regression equation of Y = 3.410 + 0.361 + 0.564, the coefficient of determination is 80.0%, while the remaining 20.0% is influenced by other factors. The hypothesis test obtained F count > F table or (177.872 > 3.009).
