MANAJEMEN RISIKO SEDERHANA DALAM KEHIDUPANDAN DUNIA KERJA

This community service activity was conducted to improve students’ understanding of simple risk management in daily life and the workplace as preparation before participating in Internship or Practical Work Experience (PKL). The activity involved 22 eleventh-grade students from the Hospitality Department at SMK Nusantara 1 Ciputat. The background of this activity was based on the students’ limited understanding of the importance of risk identification, risk mitigation, and occupational health and safety (OHS) in both workplace and daily life situations. The implementation methods included interactive lectures, discussions, case studies, and simple simulations related to the application of risk management in the hospitality industry and everyday activities. The materials presented covered the concepts of risk management, types of risks, risk identification, risk mitigation, decision-making, and occupational health and safety (OHS). The results of the activity showed that students experienced an improvement in understanding the importance of identifying potential risks, understanding preventive measures, and applying discipline, responsibility, and awareness before entering the workplace. Students also began to understand that risk management is not only applied in industrial environments but also in daily life, such as time management, decision-making, and personal financial management. This activity had a positive impact on students’ readiness to face internships and the working environment. Therefore, it is expected to help students apply safer, more disciplined, and professional work behavior in both the workplace and everyday life.
